The James Simon Gallery is open after 10 years of construction. It houses an information and cash desk area for the entire Berlin Museum Island. Berlin’s Museum Island finally has a reception building designed by architect David Chipperfield.
The bright and attractive building consists of smooth limestone and sandstone facades and houses a Museus Café. The new building is connected to the Pergamonmuseum, which unfortunately will not reopen until 2024. The James Simon Gallery also connects the Archaeological Promenade and the New Museum, the Old Museum and the Bode Museum.
The HSH Hotel Apartments Mitte is only 3 km far from the Muesumsinsel Berlin.
